What is ISO? ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization. Since its foundation in 1947, ISO has developed international standards on products and services. Interestingly, the English abbreviation of the organization is not IOS, but ISO. As it is an independent international organization, they adopted the Greek word ‘isos’ which means ‘fair’ to demonstrate that it does not belong to a certain country or its language.
