rePAPER Concluded an Exclusive Coating Supply Contract with GPI, the World’s Best Innovative Packaging Company!


rePAPER concluded an exclusive supply contract on the environmentally friendly coating formulation RP-SERIES with GPI(Graphic Packaging International), a global paper mill in the US on July 22nd, 2021.

GPI is one of the world’s most recognized cardboard and fiber-based food packaging company. The headquarter is located in Atlanta, USA, and with 19,000 employers, the company is a Fortune 500 corporation making annual sales of 64 billion dollars.

GPI considered it as rePAPER’s core technology that any paper-based products applied with our environment-friendly coating solution RP-SERIES show over 98% repulpability and that they can be recycled with other regular paper. As the world’s leader in the packaging industry, GPI announced ‘VISION 2025’ to change GPI products to be 100% recyclable by 2025 and finally released OpticycleTM, the single-use, PE-free food packaging lined with the environmentally friendly water-based coatings, RP-SERIES. OpticycleTM is an innovative product line that requires less coating material and satisfies all the necessary functions as packaging. Above all, it has an over 98% of resource circulation rate that every consumer and company shall pursuit.



RP-SERIES has a product line-up from RP100 to RP500 that enables all of the applied paper products to be 98% recyclable. rePAPER is going to supply approximately 1,500 tons of RP-SERIES to GPI for the next 2 years and looks forward to introducing our technology to not only the US, but also to Europe and South America.

rePAPER’s products lined with its environmentally friendly coatings RP-SERIES are 98% recyclable, home compostable and have waterproof and grease resistant properties as well as sealability and thermostability. They are getting a lot of attention from the world’s food packaging industry especially these days for not contain any PFAS, which has been globally banned due to its hazardousness to human health.

As Mr. Yoon said that he would like to see the world use environment-friendly paper cups and containers lined with rePAPER’s coatings and have them recycled 100%, rePAPER will keep developing various environmentally friendly packaging coating solutions that can be easily and completely recyclable without any separate sorting work. We will also keep expanding the range of  environmentally friendly packaging through cooperation with companies and industries in various fields.
